The Beamers Standard

These aren't rules. They're the reason Beamers exists. Before you apply, make sure this resonates.

The Spell, Not the Wand

AI has given everyone a magic wand. But a wand without spells is just a stick. Beamers are the people who put in years learning the spells: the expertise, the intuition, the muscle memory that turns a prompt into a result. This isn't traditional tech support, and it isn't a dev agency. It's what AI has made possible: fast, precise, genuinely useful help delivered through deep knowledge of modern tools. Everyone has the wand. Beamers know the spells.

II

Tech Through Education

The only real difference between a tech person and a non-tech person is the time they've spent with the tools. Beamers grant wishes. But a retainer means something more: the client is willing to learn, and you're willing to teach. Not just "here's the answer" but "here's how this works." People who think they "just don't get computers" haven't had someone take the time to show them. The goal is a client who understands their tools better after every session, not one who is more dependent on you.

III

Open Tools, Open Paths

Signing up is easy. Leaving is the trap. Beamers steer clients toward open, interoperable tools: ones with MCP servers, public repositories, and a genuine commitment to the new era. If a tool's business model depends on lock-in, or if the company's answer to AI is "AI bad," we find another tool. We have a duty to teach the value of open source and tool independence so clients are never held hostage by a price hike or a platform decision made without them.
